Fine Sand
Descending onto –
The widening mound
Below –
A silent keeper it is
Of the seconds deemed hurried!
From dusk to dawn
Slip the granules
Musings swim -
In the hidden depths
Settling into crevices
And Grooves
Of a creature unmoored!
The creature Restless
Only months ago
Now rests Still
Turned toward dawn!
The Sun soaked - Surface
I spread my arms with glee
Pondering over the old days -
When I Dread it coming to me!
