Caffeinated dreams -
A brew not yet brewed
The beans lie still,
Theobroma within!
Mortar and pestle -
He works them gently
Nibs slowly surface
The harshness they endured
Now lingers - bitter!
A bain-marie waits -
For the nibs to enter.
He slides them in
And awaits the brew!
A concoction forming -
He stirs -
Aroma rising
The room holds it
Like breath!
A brew now brewed -
Ready for its drinker
Into mugs it is poured
And all of Them savour!
